Episode 8: Unmasked!
As Ambrosius sneaks on Mendoza from behind, the sailor's warned by Sancho and Pedro, and socks the alchemist who ends up on the ground, the compass slipping from his bag. The children come and Esteban picks up the compass, that Zares had taken from him.
Ambrosius can't hide anymore and is accused of being Zares's accomplice. He throws a blinding bomb and escapes to his ship, snatching his compass and Shimazu's saber. Mendoza manages to get on board as it takes off, as the children, Sancho and Pedro follow them aboard the Golden Condor.
They watch from a distance the fight between the two men, who retreat inside the ship. Ambrosius gets to don his Zares suit and the fight carries on. When the two end up back on the deck, the children are stunned and Tao's distraught. Yet Mendoza, helped by the Condor's intervention, manages to get his hands on Shimazu's saber and leaps on top of the Condor to join his companions, under Ambrosius's furious glares.
The Golden Condor heads to the volcano, where the third City of Gold supposedly lies. The ship, damaged during the fight, follows them from a distance.
After climbing atop the volcano, our heroes find themselves down in its crater, which is getting less and less stable. Escaping lava, they end up in a hall with golden halls. It leads to a gigantic orichalcum pyramid, surrounded in huge stairs.
Once at the top, they make an incredible discovery.
