Episode 22: The fire of the dragon

The Mysterious Cities of Gold - Season 2 - Episode 22

As they are about to enter the Tibetan temple, guarded by a dog named Long Chow, a villager greets our friends but forbids them from entering due to the village's customs. Ambrosius then distracts the villager while Zia tames the dog and allows the children to enter. Upstairs, the walls are adorned with large painted eyes, but they find nothing and the yellow dragon does not react.
As they leave the temple, Esteban, Tao and Zia spot three young villagers who run away and follow them. They arrive at an old Tibetan woman's house and question her about the all-seeing eyes. She points them to a nearby cave, inhabited by bats and where the eyes are located. Once arriving, the children are frightened by a swarm of the flying creatures and discover a gigantic representation of the eyes on the ground. Ambrosius finally arrives, thanks to the villager's information. Tao discovers the footprints of the yellow dragon on the ground and places it there. After turning the all-seeing eyes "inward", the dragon then activates and releases the black pearl. It sinks into the ground and then quickly moves away into the distance, drawing a golden furrow in the ground. The pearl finally stops at the top of a mountain: the dragon's fire finally shows them the way to follow.
Inside the nave, while Sancho and Pedro are standing guard, Mendoza tries to seize the pyramid of Mu. But a trap is triggered and he faints just as Ambrosius and the children are about to arrive.
