Episode 17: The sleeping garden

The Mysterious Cities of Gold - Season 2 - Episode 17

The labyrinth closes behind Esteban and Zia, but the latter believes in the destiny of the chosen ones, when suddenly a passage opens in front of them.
Meanwhile, the ship is still surrounded by Gurban and the Mongols. But due to a clumsiness of Sancho and Pedro, who are busy cleaning the deck, the Mongols are driven away thanks to smoke bombs. Gurban, who fell from his horse, is left behind.
In the Buddha's Belly, Tao has heard Esteban's cries and prepares to descend into the well, but his vine breaks and he remains stuck on the wall. As for Li Shuang, he has heard the footsteps of the captain of the guard, who came in search of a possible treasure. They fight and destroy the opening mechanism of the cave, then fall into a crevasse.
Inside the labyrinth, Esteban and Zia arrive in a garden where time seems to accelerate! They discover an oven and place the yellow dragon on a receptacle. The black pearl detaches, enters the oven to recharge with energy and then returns to its place. The children take back the dragon and decide to go back up.
Outside, Gurban has been captured, but when he learns that they are friends of Zia, he agrees to tell them where she is.
Upon exiting the labyrinth, Zia and Esteban find Tao in a bad position. Esteban climbs up to get him with a vine, but is stung by a scorpion. They barely have time to climb out of the well before Esteban faints.
