Episode 21: The separation
Now alone and trapped by the Old Fool who protects his fresco, the children are distraught, but Ambrosius suddenly arrives and frees them. Esteban and Zia rush outside hoping to find Mendoza, but no one answers. Inside the temple, the crazy guardian is questioned by Ambrosius, who understands that the fresco is only a copy and that the original is located in Tibet, near a river. The Old Fool indicates their next destination using a map.
With his nave, Ambrosius then takes the children back to the Great Condor, but Esteban and Tao argue again, as the latter believes that the sailors are dead while Esteban cannot believe it. They separate, with Tao leaving for Tibet aboard the nave with Ambrosius. On their side, Esteban and Zia search for Mendoza, Sancho and Pedro with the Great Condor near the cliff where Zares pushed them. Against all odds, they are safe and sound on a ledge! They also leave for Tibet, but make a stop for the night.
Inside the nave, the two scientists take the opportunity to discuss and Ambrosius tries to persuade Tao to reconcile with Esteban.
The next day, the Great Condor takes off again and soon arrives at the place indicated on the Old Fool's map, where the nave is already located. Ambrosius and Tao are surprised to see the sailors alive and the children reconcile. They decide to visit a nearby village, without Mendoza and his two companions, in case Zares returns.
Once arrived in the deserted village, they open the door of a temple guarded by a creature...
