Episode 1: Lalibela

The Mysterious Cities of Gold - Season 4 - Episode 1

After the discovery of the 4th City of Gold of Kumlar, our heroes follow Ambrosius to Africa. Aboard his ship, the alchemist lands in the small village of Lalibela in Ethiopia, accompanied by Gaspard and Laguerra. He puts the villagers to sleep and install a mysterious device, then takes off immediately. He reveals to Laguerra that the double medallion of Rana'Ori now allows him to open a mysterious door, leading to a clue to discover the 5th City of Gold, which supposedly hides a fabulous treasure, the legacy of Mu and Atlantis.
On their side, the three children and the three sailors try to catch up, as the Great Condor cannot fly at night. Thanks to the map stolen from Ambrosius, they fly towards Lalibela and discover the sleeping inhabitants. While the others take care of the villagers, Tao and Esteban discover a church containing a fresco, on which the pyramid of Mu is represented, as well as the device left by Ambrosius. As a nacal, Tao wants to understand how it works, before realizing that it is a trap set by Ambrosius... In the village, the chief tells Mendoza that the alchemist is looking for Ophir, the legendary City of Gold of the Queen of Sheba, when an earthquake is felt. Ambrosius' device turns on, destroying part of the village as well as the church. Esteban and Tao try to escape but are eventually buried in the rubble ...
