http://www.teleimages.com/news/315-%3Ci ... rogrammes/

Hello all. Thank you to the creator of this wonderful site. Have been following it thru the years and making my first post today. i have seen only the first two of the new season (live in US) and like many am very dissapointed by the outcome. Even my 5 yr old feels the difference and does not like it at all. But as she is so hungry for the story to continue, is able to accept it even with all the flaws. For me though it is very hard. I had thought that the characters would look like this websites top title graphic. This depiction of the characters is so beautifully perfect. It shows modern time advances but maintains the integrity of the original characters. They also look a tiny bit older, which would have suited the story as it takes place 6 months after the original. I was so elated when i saw this image of the main characters, but when i saw the actual show was so so sad. The whole feeling and unique atmosphere of the original have not been honored. It has been transformed to the usual cartoons we see today, actually worse. I think it is unfair and demeaning of them to do this. They did not give the audience any credit whatsoever. They just followed mainstream usual cartoon styling. As i have not seen the whole, maybe the story is great, but cannot make up for the massacre of the original style, music and atmosphere of the original. Even though we were watching a cartoon, the original did not have a cartoon feeling. And the music! How amazing was the music!!Absolutely no effort whatsoever to even try for a decent respectful score.I would have waited another 10 yrs if they could have done it properly. It does not even look like any of the original creators were involved at all.In the very least they could have done it just the way it was done in the first. But maybe that would have been to expensive for them to do today. it is such a shame. They have failed miserably. And now a live action version? hoping for a better result with that, but would have wished the put their best effort for the original medium, which then would have made a live action form all the more exciting and longed for.

Sorry for all the complaining, but all hopes were completely dashed with this horrible result. My question is WHO MADE THIS AMAZINGLY BEAUTIFUL depiction of our beloved characters that head up the top of this site??? Why is the present MCOG 2 not looking like this?? I am very confused and was trying to find an answer in the forums but could not. Was another company originally doing it then the project changed to another? My apologies if this was a topic that was already discussed.

Hallo ;) My opition is totally diffrent - I'm amazed by the 2nd season. Yes, I prefere old graphic and old music, but in new episodes I can see a lot of similarities to the original! It could be much worse.

If I was seeing the 2nd season without ever seeing the first, I am sure my opinion would be different. Add to that the nostalgia the show brings, They repeated it alot on tv those days-i must have seen the whole series 5 times during my childhood. I really wish I could at least see the whole 2nd series for the story, which looks very good especially if they do show the beauty of china as they did south america in the first. If anyone knows any way a person in the US can see these episodes please tell me-will it be available on dvd soon? Even though i cannot speak french, we are able to understand what is going on. Hoping an english version comes out with the english mendosa Howard Ryshpan-his Mendoza was excellent!!!!
Someone had posted a clip of the original mcog scene where Esteban sees his father before he goes to save the world (note I did not say for the last time:) and that same scene as flashback in the 2nd season, back to back to show the differences. It was so interesting to see the 2 interpretations back to back. It makes me sad to see they couldn't equal it, but others will surely have different feeling about it.

Unfortunately we still don't know the voices of the main characters.
